1. Must have a valid Colorado/Wyoming driver’s license or State ID
2. Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident
3. Must be enrolled at a Workforce Center or be a Union Member
4. All male participants must be registered with Selective Service

THIS IS A SELF-STUDY CLASS WITH NO FACE-TO-FACE INTERACTION WITH THE INSTRUCTOR. PARTICIPANTS MUST BE MOTIVATED AND HAVE SELF DISCIPLINE TO ADHERE TO THE SCHEDULE.
Online Trades Math Course Description: This training program is designed for those who have had algebra previously, but need a refresher. The Assessment Coordinator will work individually with student referrals to determine the best way to assist and prepare them for the class. This class is intended to boost math skills - it is not graded nor is it pass/fail. It is a supportive learning experience, and the Instructor provides a final evaluation of math skills with recommended "next steps" to benefit the student.
Pre-requisites:
- Basic high school algebra, even if it was a long time ago!
- Construction experience in any trade is helpful due to the contextual curriculum.
- Basic PC literacy and Internet navigation skills.
- Access to a PC with high speed Internet connection

- Basic Mathematics Review
- Algebra
- Geometry
- Applied Formulas
Course Overview
- 12 modules, 3 per week for 4 weeks.
- Each module requires: 45-60 minutes of viewing time, followed by 30-45 minutes for practice exercises; plus 30 minutes to complete a self-assessment. Weekly interaction with Instructor via email/googlegroup is required.
- Weekly time commitment is 6-10 hours.
- A Final Learning Assessment will be given to evaluate the student progress.
- Students will be provided with accompanying hard copy materials.
- Students will be able to interact with instructor through email or “googlegroup” feature. Students will be notified of the specific times the instructor will be available to respond to posted questions, this feature is available only to the GCC grant participants.
