Building Automation-Training Successfully Completed

Description

The following are basic requirements that must be met to participate in this grant program, the participant must:
 
      1.      Must have a valid Colorado/Wyoming driver’s license or State ID
      2.      Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident
      3.      Must be enrolled at a Workforce Center or be a Union Member
4.   All male participants must be registered with Selective Service

Training Provider: DJEATC and Partner JATCs
 
One of the following three prerequisites must be met:
 
  • Must have received a qualifying score for NJATC Electrical Aptitude test.
  • Must have been employed by a NECA Contractor within the last two (2) years.
  • Must have been employed by an IBEW Contractor within the last two (2) years.
 
Building Automation Course Description: This course is designed to familiarize students with design considerations and methods used in the installation of Building Automation Technology. This course prepares students to install the network cabling and low voltage power distribution necessary to implement such systems. The emphasis of the course is on the hardware aspect and does not involve integration issues. There is a $75 refundable fee for this course.
