    The following are basic requirements that must be met to participate in this grant program, the participant must:
     
           1.      Must have a valid Colorado/Wyoming driver’s license or State ID
     2.   Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident
     3. 
     
    Must be enrolled at a Workforce Center or be a Union Member
     4.   All male participants must be registered with Selective Service

    One of the following three prerequisites must be met:
     
    • Must have received a qualifying score for NJATC Electrical Aptitude test.
    • Must have been employed by a NECA Contractor within the last two (2) years.
    • Must have been employed by an IBEW Contractor within the last two (2) years.

    NFPA 70E Course Description: This course focuses on electrical worker safety. All lessons are based on the NFPA 70E Standards for Electrical Safety in the Workplace and are designed to raise awareness of the hazards electrical workers face when working on or near energized equipment. Lessons include the manner and conditions under which live electrical work may be performed as well as what personal protective equipment and clothing must be used. There is a $120 refundable fee for this course.
