NABCEP - Entry Level Exam: Training Successfully Completed

The following are basic requirements that must be met to participate in this grant program, the participant must:
 
      1.   Must have a valid Colorado/Wyoming driver’s license or State ID
      2.      Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident
      3.      Must be enrolled at a Workforce Center or be a Union Member
4.   All male participants must be registered with Selective Service

NABCEP- Entry Level Exam Course Description: This course is designed for the entry level person who will be trained as a solar panel installer, with the abilities to design a system, use a solar pathfinder, voltmeter and wiring systems. Training will include how to design a PV system based on current electrical consumption, using the National Electrical Code 690 (related to PV only), math and calculations, stand alone systems and batteries and grid tied systems. Upon successful completion, graduates are enrolled into the NABCEP Entry Level test. There is a $25 registration fee
 
Pre-requisites for Basic NABCEP Entry Level:
  • Algebra
  • Basic Trigonometry
  • Basic Geometry
  • Graphing (coordinates)
  • TABES 9th grade level, reading and language
  • Drug test is required
  • If felony convictions: no theft, arson, sex offenders or violent crimes
  • Ability to travel within Denver Metro or further to work
  • Ability to lift 55 pounds or more.
  • No previous or past back, knee or joint injuries
  • Ability to climb ladders and heights
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
 
**This is an outdoor job, mostly on roofs**
Must have the ability to keep up with physical fitness program during both weeks of training.
