Are you a former Rocky Flats worker?  Read this important information on the Building Trades National Medical Screening Program.

The Building Trades National Medical Screening Program is sponsored by the Center for Construction Research & Training and supported by the Building & Construction Trades Department, AFL-CIO.

Any building trades worker who worked at a DOE site listed below may be eligible for the FREE PROGRAM.  This program is designed to examine workers for medical problems due to exposures on the job.  We will set up a confidential work interview with you.  The interview will help highlight any health hazards and exposures from your work at the site(s).  The interview can be conducted in person or on the telephone.  We will then arrange a special medical exam for you based on your needs.

ENERGY EMPLOYEES OCCUPATIONAL ILLNESS
COMPENSATION PROGRAM ACT (EEOICPA)

Building Trades workers who were exposed to hazardous materials while working on a DOE site may be eligible for compensation.  The Energy Employee Occupational Illness Compensation Act (EEOICPA), which was passed by Congress in 2000, provides compensation to workers or their survivors for illness caused by exposure to radiation or other toxic hazards during their employment in the nuclear weapons industry.  Applicants who qualify may receive both cash benefits and payment for all medical costs attributed to the illness for which compensation was awarded, from the date the application for compensation was filed.

By taking part in the Building Trades National Medical Screening Program, you can find out if you have an illness that is covered under this compensation program.
